December 3, 2019 is Giving Tuesday!
This day is set aside for remembering the charities and causes that do good in the world and mean something to you. All of us on the Blue Water Foundation board hope that you see this gesture as another crucial way to show your support.
This Giving Tuesday is especially important to Blue Water Foundation because we've had a generous donor offer to match up to $5,000 of all donations collected by the end of the year! I ask that you keep Blue Water Foundation in mind and strongly consider a much appreciated financial donation.
This is a big deal for Blue Water Foundation because it's a perfect opportunity for us to take a moment to reflect on the generosity of our volunteers and the impact we, as an organization, have on our local communities.
As you know, we continue to conduct weekly sails to San Francisco school district students with SFPD officers; probation youth from Alameda, San Francisco, El Dorado and Contra Costa counties; and from numerous community groups like project Avary, San Francisco Recreation and Parks, First Exposures mentoring, Edgewood and Kops for Kids. Our dedicated volunteers continue to crew sails, maintain boats, provide food, write grants, maintain and update our website and produce marketing materials throughout the year.
