Camp Sweeney Class Sail (Benjamin Walters)

Friday, October 7, 9:30AM to 5:00PM

Our third class with Camp Sweeney and our live overboard drill with the students rescuing the swimmer half a dozen times. One of the best experiences for the students...and the mentors...PLUS we start late so we check out the Blue Angels practice that begins at 300 for the Fleet Week the following day...

Monthly Board Meeting

Tuesday, October 11, 6:00PM to 8:00PM

We are ALWAYS done by 8 PM. If you cannot make it in, we have a Zoom conference space you can use to be telepresent.You must register in order to access the meeting via Zoom. Registration will generate connection details which are good for subsequent meetings.

CCC Youth Probation (Benjamin Walters)

Saturday, October 15, 8:30AM to 3:30PM

Monthly sail with students from Contra Costa County's Orin Allen Youth Rehabilitation Facility (OAYRF). Crew must be aged 21 or over to participate per probation department requirements. 08:30 Crew report and prep for the day 09:00 Students arrive; short classroom session and then head out. 15:00 Return to slip / debrief / store the boat. ~15:30 Departure. I'll bring sandwiches for the students and crew--please advise of any dietary restrictions. If you're inclined (but not required), bring along snacks, cookies to share.

First Aid/ CPR/AED training

Saturday, November 12, 10:00AM to 11:30AM

CPR/First Aid training required for certification. Free to BWF volunteers. PLEASE NOTE: This certification will be blended learning, meaning that the video and "lecture" portion will be done online at your own time and only the skills portion will be done in-person. Once six people sign up you will be sent a link from ARC American Red Cross (email may be addressed from Salesforce) Online portion must be complete before skills session.
