Sail on Golden Bear with students from Lincoln High School.
Weather permitting, we sail to Angel Island with dinghy and go ashore. Show up early to get the inflatable ready to go.
Certification sail for new volunteers and existing volunteers looking to move up to 2nd Captain. Time permitting, we will also practice docking.
We are ALWAYS done by 8 PM. If you cannot make it in, we have a Zoom conference space you can use to be telepresent.You must register in order to access the meeting via Zoom. A registration button is in the event details on the volunteer.bluewaterfoundation.org site when you are logged in. Use it to register. Registration will generate connection details which are good for subsequent meetings.
This will be a split sail with students from Thurgood Marshall High School. First group will go out from 11:00 - 12:45 then switch with second group that will go out from 12:45 - 2:30.
We’re excited to announce a sail with Marin & Sonoma CASA—Court Appointed Special Advocates). This is their first sail with us and it's going to be AMAZING!!! Their foster parents may join as well, making it an always memorable day on the Bay with truly remarkable kids.

Graduation of the class for Sweeney. Handing out certificates, kayak rides, inflatable, pot luck lunch, then short sails. Important for these students...invite any you can to attend, an audience matters for them. Even if can't sail, come for the ceremony.
Join our All Lady Crew as we welcome young women from Alameda County Juvenile Hall aboard for a powerful day on the Bay. This new program shows these girls that there is life after incarceration and that the water is meant to be embraced, not feared. Led entirely by women, the sail highlights strength, confidence, and sisterhood, inspiring hope and new beginnings.
Certified crew and female volunteers are encouraged to sign up and be part of this meaningful experience.
A full day of certification sailing, learning all systems and going through all points of sail. A chance to achieve crew or second captain certification in a single day. All but live overboard drill. Bring lunch.
